The development of a new B8 Self Storage building and Trade Counter Space on a brownfield site.
The development was required to meet the Woking Borough Council planning policy and offset 10% overall energy demand. SRE developed an energy tool from actual energy data to calculate the predicted energy demand and advised that 15kWp of photovoltaics would deliver the required target. SRE ensured that accurate building type specific data was used to inform the Energy Strategy. The scheme met the planning requirements in a cost effective way.
