The refurbishment and extension of a vernacular 19^th Century cottage, located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, into an energy efficient family home.

SRE completed Sustainability and Energy Statements in support of the successful planning application and undertook the BREEAM EcoHomes Assessment during the design and early construction phase.

The building achieved a BREEAM EcoHomes ‘Excellent’ rating and using a range of insulation materials, solar water heating and a highly efficient oil boiler the Client improved the SAP Rating from G to C.
